Day 2

We started the day with the coffee tour. We saw the demonstrations of how the coffee is produced. Today the clouds obscured the Poás Volcano. While we were traveling we saw some howler monkeys and an iguana and an orange bellied bird and one with yellow legs. We we went to lunch and ate rice and beans (Gallo pinto). The drinks were fruity and delicious. We rode on the bus on really windy roads.  We passes the La Paz waterfall and other smaller waterfalls. Once we arrived at the hotel, we went to the pool, we ate more rice and beans, we got some snacks for game night.

It rained on and off all day and the rain sounds very loud in the cabins.

Carry on almost done

I still have to get a couple of things (didn't relize I don't own a bathing suit...) but I packed everything on the list and my carryon weighs 15 lbs. I may not have to check in a bag after all! What about you?
Notice I have a lock that is designed for travel. Kids will pack every night as though they were leaving and locking their suitcase. this way no one will think their stuff was stolen.

Great News About Shopping for Clothes for our Trip

I'm sorry, first of all, if you see that the last few posts are messy looking.  I went to Columbia Town Center today and I wondered into Eddie Bauer.  I was looking for suggestions for you as far as what to wear for our Costa Rica adventure.

I did find that Eddie Bauer has pretty much exactly what we need, but not just for the travelers, but really these are clothes that anyone would want to wear out while doing outdoors activities here or just about anywhere.

You can see that I found clothing that provide excellent sun repellent qualities.  Also the clothing is very lightweight and dries easily in case we get caught in a tropical rain storm.

The good news is that the manager noticed me taking lots of pictures and he asked me about our trip, which I shared happily.  Then he told me that he would....

OPEN THE STORE 2 HOURS BEFORE THE OPENING OF THE STORE TO THE PUBLIC so that we can have all the attention we need.  He offered to pull out the smaller sizes as they do not have kids' clothing.  I figured, heck, why not?  So I made a date for

SATURDAY JUNE 18 AT 8:00 AM AT THE EDDIE BAUER IN COLUMBIA TOWN CENTER.  You would park in the Nordstrom covered parking because the other parking lots will be roped off.

But of course you know that I am going to try to "regatear" (bargain) something for us so I immediately said..."So...what kind of a discount can you give us?"  I really expected to have to work at this but he caved in almost immediately and I negotiated a ....

47% DISCOUNT!!!

I'm so excited because, as you can see, this excellent product does come with a high price.

Well, that's all for now!  I'll still be looking around for goodies for us and keep you posted.
